Network / Telecommunications Administrator
Milton Academy seeks a full-time Network / Telecommunications Administrator to join the Academy Technology Services department.
Duties include Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of Milton Academy’s VoIP and data networks. The Network / Telecommunications Administrator is responsible for soliciting, negotiating and managing related contracts and vendors.
This person must be able to handle multiple projects with limited hands-on supervision and be comfortable working in a small team environment. They must actively participate in resolving technical issues from discovery to resolution. The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, be a team player that routinely participates in knowledge exchange with technical peers, and project a strong and positive attitude at all times.
Qualified candidates will have at least 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience managing data and voice networks; demonstrated success managing complex projects and initiatives in a challenging environment. A Bachelor’s degree and experience in an academic environment are strongly preferred. A demonstrated ability working in a diverse and inclusive community is essential. Candidates must be able to lift computer equipment (up to 50 pounds) and must be able to move from building to building on Milton’s campus.
