Sidwell Friends, a coeducational Quaker day school located in the Tenleytown section of Northwest D.C., seeks a full-time Operations Coordinator to support the Director of Technology and members of the department. The Operations Coordinator supports the entire department bearing primary responsibility for the prompt tracking and communication of help desk tickets. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for working with vendors in the research and selection of new technologies along with the IT Director as well as in the processing of all purchase orders and invoices. The successful candidate will further be responsible for developing reports in the help desk software. In the process of clarifying help desk requests, the Operations Coordinator may offer advice over the phone if concerns can be remedied simply.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of comfort with personal technology. This full-time 12 month position does require strong communication and organizational skills. In addition to serving the needs of the department, the Operations Coordinator will work cooperatively to meet other needs of Sidwell Friends School as a whole.
A bachelors degree and two years experience in administrative task management and communication or frontline IT help desk is preferred though not required. This position is benefits eligible and reports to the Director of Technology Services.
