Part Time Technology Teacher

Friends Seminary seeks a Part Time Technology Teacher to teach computer science, robotics, electronics, and basic technology skills.

Responsibilities:
Teach Middle School (Grades 5 - 8) Technology classes
Collaborate with the Technology Department faculty to create new curriculum and modify existing curriculum
Collaborate with faculty in other disciplines to enhance cross-curricular and STEAM programming
Help implement and teach skills related to our 1:1 iPad program for Middle School students
Support and help integrate information literacy and digital citizenship skills within the technology curriculum
This part-time, ten-month position reports to the Middle School Head, Director of Technology, and Academic Dean.
Dependent on qualifications, teach Upper School computer science electives
Requirements:
Classroom teaching experience preferred
Previous experience working with iPads and computers in an Apple environment
The ability to collaborate, communicate and work closely with faculty, students, administrators, and members of the technology team.
A passion for using technology in creative and innovative ways, particularly to teach engineering concepts.
Required Education
Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.
