St. Andrew’s Schools seeks an experienced registrar to join our school community. The Registrar reports to the Dean of College and Career Readiness and performs a wide variety of administrative duties in support of the academic program. The Registrar is responsible for managing the academic records of all students on the school’s information system and academic database, coordinating and managing all testing, and coordinating and managing textbooks.

This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position offering a generous benefits package including retirement plan, health benefits, paid vacation, and more. This position works through school closures (Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer) except when school administrative offices are closed or as directed by the Head of School.

Qualifications

St. Andrew’s Schools is seeking a candidate who has a Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Successful candidates will possess excellent computer skills and experience with database software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills are needed. And, candidates will need to work both collaboratively and independently, pay attention to detail and effectively manage time and meet deadlines.

Specific Responsibilities

 Create and maintain current student academic records, including:

  • updating student/parent information in the student information system
  • maintaining and updating current and historical student records including students’ personal and academic data, grades, grade changes, test scores, and academic achievements and awards
  • managing the issuance of official and unofficial transcripts, test scores and enrollment, and GPA verification information
  • support activities related to commencement for graduating seniors
  • Maintain and back-up student records according to academic data storage policy
  • Coordinate the course selection and add/drop process, including updating relevant materials and supporting the signup process, for new and returning students
  • Assist in training and support of faculty vis-à-vis PowerSchool and Canvas, our SIS and LMS
  • Assist the College Counseling Office, including:
  • coordinating and managing all aspects of standardized testing on campus
  • support scheduling of college representative visits in the fall semester
  • support the college application process and management of Naviance
  • Maintain and report new courses and update additions, deletions and course changes with the NCAA Clearinghouse
  • Process, review and distribute grade reports
  • Provide information and reports as requested to department chairs and members of the administration
  • Coordinate and manage the textbook process, including purchasing, online subscriptions, and textbook support for students
  • Uphold the School’s Basic Teacher Expectations, as stated in St. Andrew’s Schools Faculty Guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
