Devon Preparatory School, a Catholic, college preparatory school for young men in grades six to twelve, is seeking a full-time Robotics & Computer Programming Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of computer programming and robotics

  • Ability to present oneself and one’s ideas with clarity, confidence, and poise

  • Classroom management skills

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Passion working with children

  • Energetic 

  • Prior experience

COURSES:

  • AP Computer Science – Java, C++ or Python

  • Robotics – LEGO Mindstorm and Tetrix Robotics – familiarity with Robot C software desired

  • Microsoft Certification Course – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Clubs – Competitive Robotics Teams – High School level

EDUCATION:

  • Masters Level in Technology Education, Computer Science, or Computer Programming preferred

  • Experience with 3D Modeling and AutoCAD valued

SKILLS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Knowledge of high school developmental stages

  • Programming Concepts & Syntax

  • Mechanical and Engineering Knowledge a plus
