Bayview Glen is currently looking for a part-time First Robotics Coordinator for the 2018/2019 school year. This will be the inaugural season First Robotics season for Bayview Glen Upper School. The program will operate 2 to 3 times per week, starting at 4:00 pm. The successful candidate will support students to develop a creative and positive association with robotics through a hands-on program supported by FIRST Robotics Canada. The FRC coordinator will support the students and staff advisor as they produce a programmable robot, develop core values through team building exercises, and a demonstratable project related to this year’s challenge topic. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage all aspects of this programme in conjunction with the faculty advisor and the Assistant Head, Upper School.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A completed or in-progress university or college degree in a field related to mechanics, engineering, science, or tech design;

  • Experience with, and a demonstrated passion for robotics and a thorough understanding of the FIRST ROBOTICS programme;

  • Strong interpersonal, organization, communication and time management skills;

  • As a condition of employment, a current Vulnerable Sector Screening Police Record Check and First Aid Certification are required.
