School Technology Specialist
This technology department team member focuses on maintaining campus workflow. They are responsible for analyzing problems and implementing solutions which support building technology needs, ensuring such are met.
School Technology Specialist reports to the Director of Technology
Key Responsibilities:

Answer technical questions for the community (staff, students, teachers)

Analyze problems, develop, present and implement solutions
-
Respond to problems as they occur during active classroom activity in BYOD environment
-
Installation and deployment of hardware and software
-
Management of network deployment systems
-
Training and management for cyber security prevention including proper system updates
-
Investigation and response to issues with print systems, deployment, Google suite, Chrome OS, and Active Directory
-
Structure and enhance growth in systems (print, deployment, G Suite, OS, AD, +)
-
Investigate and remedy configuration issues in firewall and wireless systems
-
Maintenance of network (LAN and WAN)
-
Backup team members with AV and network functions
-
Manage break/fix with various vendors
-
Respond to requests for special events
-
Responsible for customer care and satisfaction

Key Skills/Attributes:

Technical understanding and advanced knowledge of PC, Mac and Chrome OS, MS systems, G-suite, MS365, basic networking, and current application packages

Education Requirements:

Associate’s [Bachelor preferred] degree in a computer or related field

Experience with computer applications, troubleshooting, networking, and support of constituent
Other:
A background and fingerprint report will be conducted and submitted to State authorities as required by law for all personnel working within a school environment. Must be willing to undergo Catholic Diocese VIRTUS certification.
