Science/Technology Instructor

Donna Klein Jewish Academy seeks an energetic and engaging instructor for the 2017-2018 school year with experience in teaching in one or more of the following areas: Computer Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Robotics.

Dependent on a candidate’s ability and areas of expertise, courses may include Coding, Computer Science, AP Computer Science, Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering and Robotics.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable teaching on both the Middle School (MS) and the High School (HS) level.

This position includes both formal classroom instruction as well as working with students in clubs and/or extracurricular programs within the above mentioned areas.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Teaching 2 courses on the MS level
• Teaching 2 courses on the HS level
• Leading an MS Robotics team and an HS Robotics team
• Serve as a resource to faculty members in areas that increase the use of technology into the classroom and deepen the skillsets of teachers and students in this space

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in the primary content areas of instruction.
