Senior Programmer/Analyst
Job Summary |
The Senior Programmer/Analyst provides technical leadership to automate business process and procedures in the School of Education’s Education Technology Services Department. Devises procedures for solutions of problems through the use of data processing systems and programming or proposing changes to business processes and procedures. Develops strategic vision for enterprise data management systems and security review processes. Implements enterprise software systems to automate administrative processes. Coaches and trains other programmers in addition to providing expert insight in application development for school-wide information technology initiatives. |

Required Qualifications |
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and three years’ systems analysis and programming experience. Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. |
Preferred Qualifications |
Team management or supervisory experience; Experience with IU data management systems and processes; Experience using Sharepoint and related products desirable; Demonstrated knowledge of at least one programming language as determined at the time of employment and dependent upon the school’s strategy and industry direction, SQLdatabase management system, source code management system, and software development life cycle. |
Working Conditions / Physical Demands |
The incumbent will be expected to utilize standard computing equipment in the accomplishment of their daily workflow. Long periods of concentration required. |
