Purpose of Position

Will provide client side technology support for compliance initiatives such as; PCI, GLBA, and GDPR. Develop documentation and policies and procedures that address initiatives and other compliance requirements. Provide technical support to clients for operation of basic hardware and software. Diagnose various problems with hardware, software, or other technology equipment and repairs. Facilitate repairs in accordance with standard practices and procedures. Coordinate with other IT groups (network systems, information systems) to provide documentation and user support relative to compliance requirements on PC-based systems and their interaction with central systems. Assist clients with operation of classroom and conference room presentation systems. Supervise technical support projects, students and/or staff. Provide audio/video setup and support for classroom and university events.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides technical support to clients for operation of basic hardware and software. 25%

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience, detailed familiarity with basic personal computing software, hardware, and systems. Experience with documenting processes preferred. Ability to communicate clearly, work well in a service capacity and maintain organization. Also able to respond quickly to shifting priorities is required.
