WHAT WE WANT – THE ROLE

  • Build software solutions as required for Appleby College that leverage our existing platforms, using latest technologies & methodologies (Angular JS & material design)

  • Produce high quality software including the creation of detailed technical documentation

  • Liaison with faculty to integrate SharePoint, Web 2.0, mobile and media-based technologies into the curriculum

  • Maintain, support and extend the Intranet (SharePoint) platform and portal websites for faculty, staff, students and parents

  • Work with the IT Systems and Support team to provide after-hours support to ensure timely recovery of critical systems

  • Sources/develops tools to increase user productivity and organizational effectiveness

 

Knowledge, Skill and Technical Ability:

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree preferred

  • Five to seven (5-7) years of proven experience in a web development and application development position

  • Three (3) years of experience SharePoint Administration and Development

  • Experience with web programming technologies:  ASP.NET (C#), ASPX coding

  • Extensive knowledge of and proven experience with web development technologies

  • Experience with Web design technologies:  Angular JS, Angular & Material design, Web API 2, Bootstrap, HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, SharePoint 2013 & Office 365 CSOM, Azure AD connect; setup & configuration and Azure Key Vault

  • Experience with Databases: MS SQL

  • Mobile Development will be an asset (Xamarin)

  • Working knowledge of SCM tools (Subversion, Team Foundation – TFS, Tortoise, or alternative equivalents)
