Solomon Schechter Day School

Solomon Schechter Day School seeks an energetic, experienced Instructional Technology Specialist (ITS) who can help our school develop and deliver its academic program in support of our Strategic Plan for teaching, learning, leading and working in the 21st century. Reporting to the Associate Head of School for Program and Instruction, the ITS will support the effective integration of technology into the academic program by assisting teachers, administrators and students; coaching, providing model lessons, co-teaching, planning curriculum, identifying resources and leading professional development trainings. The ITS will co-chair the education technology committee and attend workshops to stay current with changes in the world of technology. Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
• Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferred)
• Proven track record of technology leadership in an educational setting
• Experience as a teacher or technology trainer
• Proficiency in commonly used academic technology tools and techniques
• Patience and a willingness to work with all levels of technology users, from novice to advanced
• Ability to work alone, and with small and large groups of teachers, staff and administrators
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in an efficient and timely manner
• Possess a strong foundation in pedagogy and teaching methodologies integrating technology into curriculum and instruction
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
• Embrace the concept of best practices
