As an integral member of the IT team, you will be responsible for providing frontline technical support to students and staff for all their technology needs.  You will manage and maintain computer systems; administer and troubleshoot network systems and applications; install, configure, and update software and hardware; set-up and manage user accounts, passwords and permissions; and help manage the website and student information system.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in an educational or corporate setting within a mixed PC-Macintosh environment.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Post-secondary  education in computer systems administration or equivalent experience

  • Flexible with ability to occasionally work additional hours outside of normal work week

  • 1-2 years IT helpdesk related experience in a multi-platform network environment  (Mac OS, Windows OS,  and iOS)

  • Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) certification preferred

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Google Apps for Education, Microsoft Office, cloud-based applications

  • Experience configuring Cisco network equipment an asset
