Specialist V/VI, Information Technology
The individual in this position provides technical and service-related support on facilities management enterprise systems that are used for work order processing, preventive maintenance, access control, mail services, space management, project management, energy management, and fuel management. Develops information system business process modifications and implementation plans to improve AUFM operational performance.
Establishes and implements strategy for using data and metrics to improve Facilities Management performance.
Collaborates with Facilities Management leadership to understand and fulfill data reporting and visualization needs. Manages and directs Facilities Management's efforts to produce management information and metrics from Facilities enterprise systems, enabling data driven management and process improvement. Defines, develops, implements, manages, and directs production of monthly, annual or other periodic metrics and reports to provide timely, relevant information to Colleges/Schools/Units.
The work of the Information Technology Specialist supports critical information, work processing, and execution systems required to run the annual $60 million dollar facilities management operation at Auburn University. Configures, implements, maintains, trains and manages enterprise systems, unique on campus to Facilities Management, to ensure maintenance, service, and project execution in support of the university's academic mission. Essential functions include but are not limited to: configures, implements, maintains, and manages facilities management enterprise systems, to include: Assetworks AiM Work Order (to process 35,000 work order requests annually for repair and preventative maintenance), Assetworks AiM Capital Projects (to manage 450 construction, repair and renovation projects annually), Assetworks AiM Space Management (to manage 12 million gross square feet, consisting of over 30,000 rooms on main campus), Lenel OnGuard (to manage electronic access for 35,000 faculty, staff, and students); provides support on enterprise systems through consultation and advising with internal and external stakeholders and system users to understand and solve complex business problems and requirements; conducts detailed analysis to provide key metrics and business information needed to manage the Auburn University facilities operation; and participates in projects and cross-functional activities related to information technology initiatives or processes. May provide on-call support for designated systems or services.
Minimum Qualifications
Entry into applicant pool requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus four (4) years of experience in business analysis and reporting. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. The salary range for Level V is $51,900 - $86,400.
Level VI requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus seven (7) years of experience in business analysis and reporting. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of some experience. The salary range for Level VI is $59,700 - $99,600.
Successful candidate will have experience creating data visualizations using Qlik, or a similar tool.
