STEAM Coordinator

Classroom Instruction:

o Provide Science and STEAM instruction with an engineering and computer programming emphasis.
o Teach 3rd and 4th grade science classes (12 class periods per cycle)

The STEAM coordinator is accountable for attainment of program implementation and integration goals and objectives to be developed collaboratively with the Head of School, Division Heads, and classroom and subject teachers.

· Coordination:

o Enrich science curriculum by building engineering, coding, and robotics, and other project-based learning throughout the science curriculum.
o Research, present, and explore STEAM program integration.
o Collaborate with Science, Technology, Art, and Math teachers to motivate, empower, and engage them in the integration of the STEAM program.
o Collaboratively develop and communicate a cross-curricular scope and sequence for all grades.
o Attend STEAM training and other professional development opportunities to further enhance programming initiatives.
o Research and provide ongoing professional development.
o Create a positive learning environment and effective management structures to purposefully promote and foster effective teaching, learning, and student achievement.
o Responsible for providing periodic progress updates to the Division Heads and the Head of School.
