STEM Teaching Intern
Vermont Academy seeks two teaching interns with an interest in gaining experience in all aspects of boarding school life for the 2015-2016 academic year. We would like to hire one intern with strengths in the Humanities and another with strengths in STEM fields. Teaching interns will be given an opportunity to observe and co-teach classes in multiple departments and will engage in mentoring, reflection, and conversation throughout the year on teaching and learning in a variety of academic areas. In addition, interns will gain coaching experience during 2-3 trimesters and participate in the residential life program through their affiliation with a dorm. Experience as an Athletic Trainer, in lieu of coaching, would also be desirable. The position includes room and board in addition to compensation.
Interested candidates should send the following:
a cover letter indicating which position they are applying for (Humanities or STEM) and detailing reasons for their interest in the position as well as areas where they could contribute to the athletic program
a current resume
