WHAT WE WANT – THE ROLE
This role is responsible for teaching, participating in co-curriculars and clubs, serving as a student advisor and supervising the residential life community. Additional expectations include:

Possess a high level of understanding in curriculum area

Contribute in innovative ways to the goals of the school

Support and collaborate with faculty

Adapt to student learning styles

Inspire students inside and outside the classroom

Experience in media specific classroom teaching with a focus on Project Based Learning

An understanding and/or working practice with design thinking
-
Advanced knowledge in technology to enhance student learning i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite: PhotoShop, Illustrator, Animate, Premier and InDesign

Familiarity/experience with digital assets like Canon DSLR’s, green screen, lighting, A/V equipment and both Mac and PC based operating systems
WHAT YOU NEED

Post-Secondary Education at the University level with relevant specialization
-
Teacher education training (B.Ed, M.Ed.) or significant teaching experience in another setting (i.e. University, College, or areas of specialized instruction)

Ontario College of Teachers certification (or equivalent)

Previous experience in related role an asset

Appropriate academic credentials illustrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in teaching discipline

Technical proficiency to assist and direct students who have a range of media skillsets and levels of expertise
