Teacher, Technology Integration

Crofton House School is seeking an experienced Technology Integration Teacher. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team supporting the positive growth and development of young girls in the Junior School. Teaching and learning is guided and enriched by the principles of a student-centred, collaborative approach with an inquiry-based focus and the meaningful integration of technology to deepen learning for young students.  

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Junior School teaching team to build an understanding of digital fluency  

• Model an innovative and creative approach to the meaningful integration of technology

• Act as a coach and guide to build competencies in technology

• Provide direction and support to students when working with technology

• Assist parents as they navigate technology with their daughters

• Facilitate information workshops on current developments in technology 

• Work with the administrative team to plan and assess future technology needs

• Implement the Crofton House School responsible use policy

• Maintain a focus on new technology and innovative software

• Provide technology support – troubleshooting, problem solving

Qualifications:

• British Columbia College of Teachers’ Certification

• Teaching experience at the elementary school level

• Independent school experience an asset

• Demonstrated awareness of the learning styles of girls

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively 

• Proven track record in being a leader in technology

• Excellent knowledge of Google apps for education and iPad integration
