Rundle College Society is seeking a Teacher / Technology Integrator to join the Collett Primary / Elementary school for a temporary term.

Position:

The Teacher / Technology integrator is responsible for providing technology leadership for faculty and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present Professional Development workshops and materials to assist teachers in the planning and use of instructional technologies. 
  • Teach and/or team teach technology-related lessons as needed with classroom teachers. This might include, but not be limited to: robotics, coding, digital citizenship and using the 3D printer.

  • Facilitate the creation of technology-based lesson plans and curricula.

  • Provide hands-on assistance with equipment and basic troubleshooting.

  • Collaborate with faculty to develop long-term technology goals and vision.

  • Oversee and manage the learning management system and collaboration platform.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting, scheduling and management of PowerSchool.

  • Develop, and teach and/or team teach digital responsibility / digital citizenship material.

  • Teach students in a variety of technological contexts and levels in the K - 6 programs.

  • Participate in the comprehensive c0-curricular program at Rundle College Collett School.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Principals.

Knowledge, Skills & Technical Ability:

  • Experience working with educational technology.

  • Experience with various technology platforms (Mac or Windows, preferably both) in a technician/consultant capacity or as a teacher within a school.

  • Experience with learning management systems.

  • Experience using Google apps for Education.

  • Experience with Web development and software.

  • Able to work with users of different skill levels and ability.

  • Knowledge of current technology trends in education.

  • Creative thinker and problem solver.

  • Alberta Teaching Certification.
