Primary Objective
To provide the Whitefield community with audio, lighting, and video technical support for productions, chapels, concerts, assemblies, speakers, and special events that take place on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate and coordinate details for every on-campus event with technical needs
• Organize, manage, and maintain campus-wide audio, video, and lighting equipment inventory
• Oversee campus-wide equipment warranties, upgrades, or replacements
• Order technical expendable materials as needed (tape, bulbs, fuses, cables, etc.)
• Manage the budget and allocate funds per event accordingly
• Schedule and employ additional contract technical personnel (lighting, audio, video) for large-scale events, if needed
• Serve as consultant and/or project manager for potential audio, video, and lighting installations
• Train and equip volunteer teachers and students who aid in audio, lighting, and video technical support for small-scale events
• Teach a comprehensive theater tech class to upper school students
• For theatrical and musical productions:
o Design lighting and implement light cues
o Coordinate microphone assignments and create microphone plots for voice and instrument
o Create technical cue scripts
• Adhere to the bylaws, policies and procedures, and to all laws that govern the school and its actions
• Other responsibilities as assigned by administration
Qualifications:
• Experience in video Livestream recording, posting, and editing
• Ability to develop rapport with staff, students, and parents
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, presentation software, and online grade book programs). Experience with SmartBoard technology is a plus.In addition, the candidate should:
