Technology And Innovation Teacher

St. Michael’s Country Day School, a nonsectarian independent school in Newport RI, is hiring a Technology and Innovation teacher. 

SMCDS is committed to Technology and Innovation. This summer, a brand new Technology and Innovation center is being built, as well as a dedicated film production room/green screen area. Each student in grades 4-8 is issued a Macbook Air, and in grade 3 an iPad. Younger students have access to laptop and iPad carts.

Our new Technology and Innovation teacher will be involved in curriculum design and have a weekly class with grades 2-8 as well as built in time to work with Preschool-1st grade as needed. Additionally, they would collaborate with and support teachers as they integrate technology and use new Innovation Lab with their students to enrich their classroom curriculum. 

A BS degree and classroom experience is desirable. A knowledge of coding, robotics, video production and design thinking is a plus.
