Technology Coordinator
Position Overview
The Technology Coordinator performs a broad range of duties but in general works with students, teachers and administration to meet educational and administrative technology needs.
Status
The Technology Coordinator is a salaried, exempt position.
Hours

The Logan School work day is 8:00-4:00

Until 5:00 when attending required all-staff meetings
Essential Functions
-
Support teachers and students in using technology to enhance the student learning experience, especially as it is related to their individual units.

Respond to technology questions and issues and find solutions to problems

Keep current on technology to find and recommend the most useful resources for students and teachers to be most successful

Work with deans to support and promote technology education. Including but not limited to discussions on internet safety, digital citizenship, social media use, online research skills

Instruct teachers and students on how to use core Google Suite Apps

Assist IT & the Administrative Team in managing school-wide and admin technology needs.

Assisting with website, social media, and other digital outreach needs

Assisting administrators and teachers in creating and disseminating student reports

Providing photography/videography for school events

Managing and maintaining the school’s photo storage system—Vidigami

Assist IT in keeping computer lab, teacher, and school devices clean and updated

Assist the network administrator with setting up and troubleshooting hardware and software
-
Provide technical support for routine issues (printers, copiers, WiFi access, etc)

Work with IT to identify problems with information technology system operations and provide potential workarounds.

Set-up new student Google accounts each year and move students from one group to another as necessary

Keep up with federal laws and regulations around student internet use and policy

Provide periodic trainings for teachers on other relevant educational technology resources (Ex: TinkerCAD, iMovie, Garageband, etc.)

Teach matrix (elective) classes related to technology and other applicable topics

Other duties as assigned by the head of school, deans and/or business manager
Desired Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree or specific training in technology education
-
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
-
Trained in laser printer, laser cutter, video and audio technologies
-
K-12 school experience
