Job Summary

Responsible to the Director of Academic Technology Services for providing support to users in academic or administrative departments by assessing, training and assisting with the utilization, application and integration of hardware and software solutions into web-enhanced and web-based instructional settings; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of the use of technology in instructional design.
  • Knowledge of multimedia applications.
  • Ability to design and develop instructional materials, reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to make formal training presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred; one year experience with technology, technology training/education or education required, evidence of strong customer or student support and presentation skills required, experience with audio/video or multimedia production required, experience supporting Microsoft Office products preferred; experience with academic course management systems such as Brightspace by D2L, Blackboard or Canvas preferred. Experience in an academic setting preferred.

Preferred Qualifications  
Salary $37,990-$46,250
