| JOB QUALIFICATIONS: |
Minimum Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Eligible for coverage under the District’s vehicle insurance program
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications
- Experience in teaching and integrating technology within the curriculum
- Knowledge of technologies available for use in the instructional setting
- Ability to develop and deliver technology training to adult learners
- Ability to coach other trainers on improving training designed for adult learners
- Analytical and problem solving technology skills
- Strong organizational, communication, writing and interpersonal skills
- Experience with an online Learning Management System

| DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Technology and Program Management
- Facilitate the effective use of technology in instructional and administrative programs district wide.
- Assist in the development of short- and long-range plans for the integration of technology into instruction and administration.
- Plan and provide for professional development related to instructional and administrative applications.
- Plan and support the implementation of district-wide technology initiatives.
- Support the implementation of instructional programs.
- Communicate with various hardware and software vendors to resolve issues.
- Produce multimedia professional development using the iCafe Studio and other tools.
- Research developments in educational technology and evaluate and make recommendations for district adoption.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and data according to all applicable policies.
Learning Management System
- Coordinate the on-going professional development of staff involved in the use of the district Learning Management System.
- Support the implementation of new functionality of the Learning Management System.
- Provide on-going technical support for Learning Management System users.
Other
- Attend professional growth activities to keep abreast of innovations in educational technology.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.

| REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: |
Minimum Experience:
- Three years of teaching experience
- Two years of professional development experience preferred
|
| OTHER INFORMATION: |
Working Conditions: Mental/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Lifting and moving of heavy equipment; stooping, bending, and kneeling. Frequent district-wide travel and occasional statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours (work on-call and after hours). |
