Technology Instructor / Support Specialist
Description
Pinewood Preparatory has an immediate opening for a full-time Technology Instructor / Support Specialist. The Technology Instructor/Support Specialist must be an experienced, self-motivated individual with proven experience in level 1 support and technology instruction. The candidate will be expected to teach technology courses at the upper school level, work with teachers to assist with the integration of our student BYOD program across all divisions, assist with basic computer troubleshooting, and provide support at school-wide events as required by the Head of School, Division Heads and Technology Director. This is a 12-month, full-time position.
Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree
-
1-3 years of relevant technical support experience
-
1-3 years of experience teaching Technology classes
Preferred Requirements:
-
Experience teaching high school technology classes
-
Experience supporting teachers with classroom technology
-
Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and familiarity with classroom technology such as with Smartboards, projectors, and document cameras
The Technology Instructor/Support Specialist will:
-
Create and teach high school technology classes including posting grades in SIS, maintaining communication with parents and students, helping students as needed before/after school

Help troubleshoot problems relating to classroom hardware and software including Smartboards, projectors, Windows 10 desktops, network printing, Google applications, and SIS software

Work with the Technology Team to plan and implement school-wide upgrades

Provide audio/visual support as needed

Performance of other duties as requested by the Head of School, Division Heads, and Director of Technology
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs

Comfortable utilizing a ladder and use tools to install/uninstall projectors
