Position Summary
Turning Point School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative instructor primed for collaboration to enhance the educational experience of students. The Technology Integration Specialist will provide technology support and mentoring in the use of digital tools to faculty, staff, and students, teach multimedia classes, and support the online presence of the school.

Education/Experience Required
•    Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced degree is preferred
•    Experience working with K-8 students and knowledge of age-appropriate instruction techniques.
•    Experience in or familiarity with independent schools preferred
•    Experience with an online, Learning Management System (Veracross, Edmodo, Blackboard, etc.)
•    Experience with Google Apps for Education and/or Google Classroom
•    Experience with web design (Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, Java Script, PHP, CSS)
•    Experience with digital video production and green screen technology (Canon XH A1 Camcorder, iPad, NewTek TriCaster, iMovie, GarageBand, Final Cut, Sound Forge, Lighting and Sound)
•    Experience with digital animation (Flash, Frames, HyperStudio 5, Scratch)
•    Experience with 3D design and printing (Tinkercad, MakerBot, Fabtotum)
•    Experience with robotics (LEGO WeDo, Mindstorms, EV3, Sphero)
•    Experience with educational or instructional programming software (code.org, Scratch, Codecademy, Khan Academy: Computer Programming)
•    Experience with video editing software (iMovie, Final Cut, etc.)
•    Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
•    Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and new technologies
•    Experience with audiovisual setup for monitors, projectors, SmartBoards, etc.
•    Experience with iPads and other mobile devices

Key Responsibilities
•    Provide clear performance objectives for student, parent, and administrative use
•    Direct and coordinate a prepared learning environment in line with our whole child instructional philosophy
•    Maintain multimedia learning lab
•    Develop/Support curriculum for K-5 to be used in the computer labs to complement existing curriculum.
•    Serve on a STEAM Committee to integrate making into the curriculum
•    Work with teachers to integrate classroom technology (SmartBoards, laptops, desktops, iPads)
•    Teach one elective course per trimester on multimedia technologies for middle school students.
•    Teach Coding as a Language course each trimester
•    Support the Yearbook advisor with teaching responsibilities, file management, and book production.
•    Train and support staff and students in the use of Google Apps for Education.
•    Work with the Academic Technology coordinator to objectively find and evaluate the best tools to support and enhance student learning.
•    Work with performing arts coordinator to support production for school-wide events.
•    Document technology curriculum and STEAM/Maker projects in a curriculum map
•    Work with the Director of Communications to support the school’s online presence by creating and editing material for use on school blog and social media sites
