Technology Integration Support Specialist

Professional Children's School is a coed, college-preparatory institution serving students in grades 6-12. Located in New York City, the school's mission is to provide an academic program for students who are professional or pre-professional in the arts and athletics. We are hiring a Technology Integration Support Specialist to perform the following responsibilities and who meets the following qualifications. Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Director of Technology and Technology Support Specialist to achieve and set the goals of the Technology Department.
Support student technology use in a BYOD environment, focusing on use for content creation.
Collaborate with teachers in composing effective technology-infused content-based lessons and support the teachers as they implement the lessons in their classrooms. Provide 1-1 support and assistance to identify appropriate technologies to use to meet their teaching and learning goals.
Assist in classes, as needed, with the use of technology tools and processes.
Promote and model educational/instructional technology best practices.
Troubleshoot technology issues for users.
Continually explore educational/instructional technology trends and best practices that may be implemented in our environment in the future.
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned by the Director of Technology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Instructional or Educational Technology and/or 2+ years experience working in an education setting implementing and supporting technology infrastructure and user tools.
Proficiency with the complete Mac suite of devices, operating systems, and installed software and how the hardware components and software components work together.
Proficiency with Google Suite and the ability to recommend effective uses of the various components of the Suite to students, faculty, and staff for instructional, learning, and productivity uses.
Proficiency with an LMS and the ability to recommend effective uses of the various components of the LMS to students and faculty for instructional, learning, and productivity uses. Moodle is preferred, but a comparable LMS is sufficient.
