Technology Integrator

St. Bernard's School is a K-9 all boys day school located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.  We seek to offer able young boys of diverse backgrounds an exceptionally thorough, rigorous, and enjoyable introduction to learning and community life.  We wish to inspire boys to value hard work and fair play, to develop confidence, consideration for others, and a sense of citizenship, and to have fun while doing these things.

St. Bernard's School is seeking a Technology Integrator for the upcoming school year.  This is a full-time 12 month position.  The Technology Integrator reports to the Director of Technology, and works closely with faculty, students and administration to support and enhance the use of technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

Work with teachers, helping them with existing technology, as well as introducing new technologies;

Provide training for teachers, both individually and in small groups;

Teach weekly classes in grades 3 through 8 including MS Office, robotics, programming, and multi-media classes using a variety of software;

Investigate innovative technologies and applications for implementation in the classroom;

Keep up to date with current trends in technology;

Meet regularly with teachers to plan lessons that integrate technology into their curricula;

Attend division meetings;

Assist in day-to-day tech support;

Work with Director of Technology to create school sequence for technology use and learning;

Serve on Technology Committee.

Qualifications:

B.A. or B.S. degree (M.A. or M.A. Ed. preferred);

Teaching experience, both with students and faculty;

Demonstrated ability to integrate technology;

Ability to communicate and collaborate with faculty, students, administrators, and the technology department;

Experience with trouble-shooting and support for a wide range of hardware and software;

Knowledge of PC, Mac, and Google Apps for Education.
