Technology Integrator
Performs administrative work directing any major data processing and information systems activities for the school and to support and direct staff and faculty as related to technological solutions and academic computing. Responsible for providing productivity improvements in all functional activities through enhanced systems and software capability. Provides hardware and software support for improving organizational efficiency. Provides technology guidance to the Head of School and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops, tests, and implements long-range technology and information systems plans.

Develops and implements a comprehensive hardware, software, communication, and database strategy, placing a focus on reliability, availability, and serviceability leading to efficient and effective systems and services.

Evalulates new hardware and software technology, assessing its applicability relative to the requirements of the school.

Applies cost/benefit analysis criteria to current and proposed application, hardware and software configurations to ensure acceptable return on investment, preparing reports for the Head of School and Board.

Order and track all new hardware and software that is approved for purchase and within budgetary constraints.

Administer and maintain all Google Apps for Education (GAFE) accounts, including student and staff users, groups, and applications.

Provide training on new and existing applications to teachers and staff to enhance productivity, and on an as-needed basis for those requiring additional support.

Instruct teachers and students in the use of technology infrastructure, including the iPad Minis, Chromebook carts, connecting to wireless access points, projectors, laptops, and Apple TVs.

Provide support for teachers and staff on software used by the school, which include, but are not limited to, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Reader, AirParrot, RenWeb 1, Online Application/Online Enrollment, RenWeb Staff app, Clever, ClassHub, Site Manager (for website), Concourse (for Library), and GAFE.

Manage and provide support to students for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program.

Maintain the inventory of all technology related equipment, including administrative desktops, teacher laptops and iPad Pros, and student iPads and Chromebooks.

Troubleshoot any connection issues between computers, server, printers, or wireless connections, and refer it to the third party contractor if a resolution is not found.

Manage video surveillance equipment and software, ensuring it is up and running on the appropriate administrative desktops, and monitoring, as needed, with cell phone app. Occasionally, researching incidents on playback and archiving files for school records.

Develop the annual schedule for Middle and Elementary classes to include all specialists and resolve any conflicts of time and space, using a spreadsheet and Google calendars.

Input classes into the School Information System (RenWeb) and enroll all students in appropriate classes, creating rosters for teachers and individual schedules for students.

Facilitate the updating of report cards, loading grades each quarter, and ensuring the accuracy of all data being calculated.

Export student and class information from RenWeb to third party vendors, such as Clever and school photographer, or enable the synchronization of data and Single Sign-On (SSO) through the use of APIs.

Establish and maintain a relationship with third party vendors and Internet service provider to maintain servers, computers, video cameras, intercoms, telephones, wireless access points, and any other vital pieces of equipment.

Maintain school Google Calendars and website, and training other administrative staff in their maintenance. Update web pages with new information, forms, and images, and edit HTML code to ensure proper layout.

Assist and guide Admissions with Online Application and Online Enrollment, testing new settings and ensuring accuracy of information and ease of use for parents.

Assist the Director of Finance in updating new tuition rates, creating new reports, and troubleshooting any technology related issues.

Ensure proper backups of servers and critical information are being maintained on site and off site.

Instruct various classes for middle school student in the use of various apps and software to enhance their 21st Century learning skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in computer science or coursework/experience in technology and/or information management systems. Knowledge of school information systems and technology curriculum. Familiar with a Windows domain environment, as well as Aruba wireless network.
