St. Thomas's is a coeducational Day School serving students from Kindergarten through Grade 6. The School welcomes children of all backgrounds, with the belief that children who learn and grow together develop openness and respect for others. We are seeking a full time, 12 month Technology Integration Specialist for the 2016-2017 school year.
In cooperation with the Administrative Team, the Technology Integration Specialist promotes the use of technologies to support student achievement in the K-6 classroom. This skilled professional works independently and collaboratively with students and colleagues. He/she assists in the development and implementation of technology integration projects to deepen the learning experience of the students. The Technology Integration Specialist provides leadership, staff development, and instructional support to all instructional and administrative staff. The Technology Integration Specialist collaborates with appropriate instructional and technical staff to support, manage, and optimize the use of instructional hardware, software, and network resources to support quality teaching and learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Teaching experience strongly preferred
A demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the instructional program for K-6 students.
Experience educating students, teachers, and administration in the integration of technology for instruction and productivity using all of the following modes: modeling, one-on-one, small and large group presentations.
A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty and administrators.
Performance Responsibilities:
Models effective instruction to students and teachers incorporating technology integration across the disciplines
Designs and leads technology professional development around the use of technology and digital media.
Partners with faculty to provide technical and instructional support in the classroom.
Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation, and refinement of programs, services, and initiatives related to technology integration.
Develops and delivers a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching Digital Citizenship.
Facilitates communication with parents regarding uses of technology by students.
Manages and troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues; coordinates various vendors and consultants.
Uses knowledge about current ideas, trends, methods, programs, materials, and equipment for technology integration to ensure optimum instructional delivery.
Assists in the development, implementation, review, and revision of a technology plan as appropriate.
Works with administration and other staff members to implement objectives for technology integration.
Performs other duties as assigned.
