Technology Operations Coordinator
The technology department at La Jolla Country Day School is responsible for the oversight and maintenance of all aspects of technology on campus - wired and wireless networks, hardware, software, and infrastructure. In addition, the team supports the use of these systems through direct end user support and training.
We are seeking a user-focused, service-oriented professional to join our technology team as a technology operations coordinator.
The technology operations coordinator is the main point of contact for all end user support. They install, configure, and support all hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues. In collaboration with the other members of the team, they also work with faculty, staff, and students to develop strategies for improved processes using reliable and appropriate technology solutions, and provide training on said solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technology Operations

Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and update Mac, Windows, iOS, and Chrome devices and peripherals

Track inventory of hardware, licenses and other IT assets

Create documentation and tutorials focused on classroom, office, and school-wide technology initiatives and systems

Review, evaluate, and recommend solutions for projects requiring specialized hardware and software

Work with external vendors to support hardware, software, and other IT projects
Technology Support

Monitor and respond to help desk requests and troubleshoot user issues

Provide end user support for software, to include learning management systems, and hardware, to include copiers and printers

Provide A/V support for classroom and campus events

Position Requirements
The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent training with at least 5 years of work experience supporting technology The coordinator is required to have detailed knowledge of commonly-used technology concepts and practices.

3-5 years of extensive experience in the installation, configuration, support, and training of software applications including, but not limited to, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe applications

3-5 years of extensive experience in the installation, configuration, support, and training of peripherals including, but not limited to, printers, projectors, document cameras, and scanners
-
Experience in the following: Mosyle MDM, Blackbaud Education Administration, Blackbaud FE-NXT, Blackbaud RE-NXT, Canvas, and SeeSaw

Proficiency with:

Detection and elimination of malware including extensive knowledge of anti-malware applications; customer support and training on best-practices for protection against malware

Media creation and editing using applications such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, GarageBand, Audacity and Photoshop

Imaging/cloning applications for both Microsoft and Apple systems – individual should be experienced with the configuration and deployment of several hundred computer systems using imaging/cloning technology

Support of network (wired and wireless) environments as it relates to end user device issues - it would be preferred for coordinator to be experienced with Meraki networking equipment

Configuration and support of telephony systems, preferably SpectrumVolP

Project management experience with proven ability to balance longer-term projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision while also maintaining a large volume of daily shorter-term support tasks

This is a full-time, hourly paid position, eligible for all benefits. The pay range is $33.00-$41.00 per hour An offer to a successful candidate is dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and years of experience, training, practical knowledge, and education.
