This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) Technology Project Manager position is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of the NMHIC Tech Innovation Network (TIN) with the use of Virtual Reality and other digital health initiatives in community sites across the state and country. This position requires the ability to establish and maintain high levels of engagement from community partners, national and state-based organizations, and tech experts from across the nation who are aligned with the aims of NMHIC tech projects. The Technology Project Manager will also engage with NMHIC Directors in complex project groundwork development to assess community and organizational assets, characteristics, readiness for change, needs and interests. This candidate should also independently synthesize information and advise NMHIC Directors on aspects of project design and implementation planning. The Technology Project Manager will frequently be the sole representative of NMHIC tech work with high-level partners and stakeholders as projects unfold, and must have sophisticated leadership and interpersonal skills in addition to management capability. This Technology Project Manager will participate within NMHIC as an integral member of a fast paced, team oriented, creative, open office, start-up environment.

 

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining site relationships with community partners and tech industry partners. 

  • Provide consultation, technical assistance, and resource development to community sites regarding content applications and updates.

  • Meet with each community site to discuss and train staff around the application of Virtual Reality and other digital health applications.

  • Conduct assessments of tech team capacities to participate in particular projects, and coach prospective partners for readiness to implement new programs or participate in NMHIC initiatives

  • Engage with potential partners and new stakeholders regarding the Tech Innovation Network (TIN) initiative’s purpose of advancing program implementation.  

  • Significantly contribute to the planning and design of Tech Innovation Network initiatives

  • Organize, lead, manage, and report on the progress of assigned projects, both internally and externally, to assure successful implementation and delivery of value to partners. Includes reporting on progress to the center’s leadership, Board of Directors, and funders.

  • Internal and external VR demos

  • Recruitment/identification of new TIN sites

  • Ongoing interactions with TIN sites to identify problems, best practices etc and solve problems, spread best practices etc.

  • Oversight of all TIN activities for their sites including onboarding, equipment training, ensuring MOUs are in place etc.

  • Conducting focus groups, 1:1 meetings, surveys etc. to collect data to inform tech companies

  • Identify new use cases for tech from our existing tech partners

  • Work w Lauren to promote the work being done by TIN sites

  • Monitoring rapidly evolving tech industry and ensuring NMHIC leadership and TIN sites are up-to-date on the direction of mental health tech, what is coming in the future etc.

  • Work directly with the CHF and other funders to help advance their tech agenda

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $60,000 to $65,000  and is commensurate with skills and experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, public health, social sciences or related field.

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience and success leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, and sustaining positive working relationships with varied stakeholders.

  • Experience with organizational change processes.

  • Experience implementing community-based programs or evidence-based practices.

Preferred skills and areas of professional interest include:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health, public health, social sciences or related field.

  • Experience with digital health promotion, prevention and treatment.

  • Experience with public health principles.

  • Experience with translation of science into practice.

  • Experience with community organizing.

  • Experience with organizational development.

  • Experience with new and emerging technology

  • Experience interacting with high-level organizational leadership (TIN Sites)

  • Experience with Public Speaking

  • Broad understanding of mental health, academic medical environments, medical technology, start-up environments
