Technology Specialist

Based on-site at Cranbrook Schools, the Schools Technology Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and providing day to day support for the technology used by the school’s staff and students. The Schools Technology Specialist will work closely with the Cranbrook Educational Community IT staff in maintaining desktop and laptop environments, manage the school’s technology inventory, and contribute to the procurement and installation of computers, printers, SMARTBoards, sound systems, and other technology-related hardware/software within establish standards and guidelines.
Job Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in technology or related field or equivalent experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in computer, printer, and AV equipment repair required. Evidence of skill and experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computers, printers and other peripherals, and AV equipment in a networked environment. Previous experience in managing projects, vendors, budgets. Ability to develop and sustain an effective maintenance program. Technical knowledge of the Windows OS, Office 365, and Google Apps for Education, as it pertains to the installation of computer software programs and computer peripherals. Previous technical experience in successfully trouble-shooting, repairing, and maintaining technology equipment. Certifications in technology-related areas are a plus. A valid Michigan driver’s license with satisfactory driving record is required. This is a full-time year around position. Working hours shall vary to meet the requirements of the Schools including afternoons, evenings and occasional weekends.
