Effective immediately:  Part-time Technology Support Assistant in Wilmington University’s Information Technology Department – New Castle

Requirements:  High school diploma or equivalent is required. The successful candidate must have sufficient experience to successfully complete the essential functions of the job. Candidate must have excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with diverse populations. Must be self-directed and able to make decisions related to assigned projects independently. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), help desk, and asset management products. Must maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

  • Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and email in a courteous manner.

  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made and actions taken, through to final resolution.

  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.

  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests.

  • Develop help sheets and frequently asked question lists for end users.

  • All other duties assigned by the Technology Support Manager.

Hours of Employment:  Monday – Friday, regular shift will be from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (must be flexible with hours to meet the needs of the department/University).

Salary Range:   $12/hour
