Technology Support Specialist
Job Description:
Fairfield Prep is currently seeking qualified candidates who are energetic and passionate educators for a full-time position
teaching Coding and Computer Programming Courses for the 2019 – 2020 academic year. The role will also require the candidate to assist the Technology Department. The primary support role of the candidate would be specific to deploying and
troubleshooting iPads. The goal is to hire for the position during the current school year, and the teaching responsibilities would begin the following year.
As an Ignatian Educator at Fairfield Prep, teachers will be expected to:

Availability to teach Foundations of Technology and Coding and Computer Programming

Participate in an Ignatian Educator Formation program
-
Assist in the extracurricular and spiritual life of the school community
-
Commit to developing young men to become intellectually competent, religious, loving, committed to doing justice, and
-
open to growth

Teach students in a 1:1 setting with iPads
-
Help with support services and troubleshooting for the school community as a member of the Technology Team.

Work to support the 1:1 program
-
Be responsible for all hardware, software and infrastructure, current and future, of the 1:1 program including, Microsoft
-
servers, Jamf Pro MDM and Aruba Wireless Systems.

Perform or aid in the installation, implementation and maintenance of technology-based systems and infrastructure

throughout Prep.
Qualifications for Position:

Candidates must have experience with, or be familiar with, the Jesuit ideals.

Candidates must hold a BS in Computer Science or Secondary Education; MA preferred.

Candidates must be able to teach Foundations of Technology and Coding during summer school (June 24 – July 19, 2019).

Candidates must have experience working with, deploying and troubleshooting Apple products.
