Technology Support Specialist Under close supervision of the Instructional Technology Support Manager and as a member of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Academic Web Technologies Support (AWTS) group, the team member will provide responsive, professional, and high-quality front-line end-user support for faculty, staff, and student users of Canvas, the primary Learning Management System (LMS) used at UC Irvine, as well as for other web applications built by the adjacent Academic Web Technologies Development (AWTD) team. This position requires a strong understanding of technical troubleshooting concepts, some familiarity with complex enterprise web applications, and excellent written and oral communication skills. This recruitment is a one year contract position. Contract Position. This is a one year contract appointment position with the possibility of additional year contract appointment extensions.
