Milken Community Schools seeks an energetic, task oriented, Technology Support Specialist.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting technology at a help-desk, possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Technology Education or a related field, and/or considerable technology skills/experience.  Prior school experience is preferred. This is a hybrid position – part educational technology, part network support, part help-desk, part lab support, part A/V support – that would be ideal for someone who is launching their career in educational technology.

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Provide trainings for faculty, staff and students in the use of technology tools
  • Provide support for faculty/staff using technology including, but not limited to, campus events, classroom A/V and Makerspace
  • Complete Help Desk administrative tasks
  • Provide support for the overall utilization of technology resources (software and hardware) for both the academic and administrative components of our campus network.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators and technology support staff. 
  • Collaborate with the entire technology team to find and evaluate cutting-edge technologies and introduce them to the community
  • Complete other related duties, as assigned
 
The Technology Support Specialist will report to the Associate Director of Technology and become part of a team consisting of the Director of Technology, Associate Director of Technology, Network Administrator, and Help Desk Technician. 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
