Technology Support Specialist

The Abraham Joshua Heschel School has an opening for a position as a Technology Support Specialist.
The Technology Support Specialist will:
●Providing help desk support for students, faculty, and staff
●Mac OSX Software support
●Maintain repair certification from Apple and other vendors as needed
●Mac laptop and desktop hardware repair
●Create, track, and close repairs in Apple's GSX warranty system
●Maintain Casper policy and enrollments
●Maintain equipment for loan (inventory, repair, distribution and returns)
●Work with third-party insurers to process damage claims
●Maintain and troubleshoot classroom A/V equipment (smartboards, projects, etc) and Printers
●Assisting with the administration the physical infrastructure of the school network, which consists a mix of OSX devices, Windows computers, iPads and Chromebooks
●Assist faculty with classroom activities that pertain to technology
●Participating in weekly IT department meetings
●Leading and participating in technology training sessions
●Providing A/V support
●Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess:
●Apple Macintosh Repair Certification
●Experience working on SMARTBoards and SMART Notebook
●4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
●Patience and good interpersonal skills
●Some knowledge of Windows operating systems
●Prior experience in an educational setting
●Experience with Casper Suite from JAMF
