Dana Hall School seeks candidates for the position of Technology Support Specialist. The individual in this position will be accountable for:

  • Working in conjunction with the Educational Technologists to support the academic technology initiatives of the School
  • Supporting the School’s 1:1 iPad program, in addition to other technology integration initiatives
  • Providing collaborative on-demand support for the School community and assisting other members of the Technology Department
  • Producing and documenting workflow processes and educational technology resource documentation such as how-to videos, training guides and in-person training sessions
  • Supporting the Educational Technologists in troubleshooting and responding to faculty and student technology needs
  • Researching educational and productivity iOS applications as well as staying current on new related technologies
  • Supporting audio/video systems, printing and multiple department-specific software solutions in coordination with the Help Desk

Candidates should have: the ability to provide welcoming and friendly technology support services to a community of users with varying proficiency levels; the ability to understand and address common technology support issues in a 1:1 iPad setting; an understanding of support service escalations and triage; proficiency with the School’s LMS, Schoology, to support teaching and learning; proficiency in iOS, AirPlay, iOS applications and integrations as well as related MacOS integrations; proficiency in iOS device deployment, MDM solutions, VPP app deployment, and iOS backup and restoration procedures; a strong working knowledge of Notability, Microsoft Office, iLife and iWork; proficiency with the Google Apps suite; the ability to create instructional and supporting documentation for community knowledgebase website; proficiency in audio/visual presentation systems; the ability to work cooperatively with the Director of Information Systems and other department members to meet other needs of the School, as directed.

Successful candidates will possess a variety of interpersonal and technological skills, and must be able to work effectively and independently in a high-energy school environment. The successful candidate will be team-oriented and work in conjunction with the Educational Technologists and Technology Department to support the academic technology initiatives of the school. In addition, he/she will have an enthusiasm and eagerness for assisting faculty and students with technology integration as well as a desire to support the technology needs of the entire school community. Work experience supporting iOS devices is required. Candidates must be able to remain seated for extended periods of time as well as lift and move product up to 50 lbs.

This is a 12-month, full-time position reporting to the Director of Information Systems. Occasional evening or weekend commitments are required and scheduled in advance.
