Technology Support Specialist
Responsibilities for this position include:
Primary focus will be on providing tier one computing support (operating systems, applications, network troubleshooting) for students, faculty, administrators, and staff.
- Organization and management of technology inventory
- Assist faculty in developing best practices for implementing technology in the classroom
- Proactively monitor computer labs to ensure optimum efficiency
- Assist with media requests for filming events
- Other duties as necessary and assigned by the Director of Technology
Requirements for this position:
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years' experience, preferably in an academic environment
- Strong technical skills
- Strong understanding of MacOS, iOS, and Apple computing products.
- An understanding of various computer hardware and software.
- An understanding of network topology
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of G Suite and other Google products
- Strong understanding of G Suite and other Google products
