Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Director of Information Technology Services

Qualifications:

  • Must be a mature evangelical Christian who agrees with the school’s Statement of Faith and whose lifestyle is consistent with the school’s Declaration of Moral Integrity.
  • Must be a member in good standing of a local evangelical church.
  • Must be able to articulate a biblical understanding of Christian education.
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a minimum of an earned Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Should have demonstrated experience in working effectively on teams of Christian professionals in meeting high academic and spiritual standards and goals.
  • He or she must enjoy working in a fast-paced, demanding, dynamic environment and be committed to life-long learning.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and vehicle that may be needed on a daily basis to transfer between school campuses.
  • Physically lift, move, and set up technology equipment (up to approximately 55 lbs.)
  • Must clear a background check and fingerprinting.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Supporting the following systems at a professional level: OSX, Windows, iOS, iCloud, Office 365.
  • Networking skills including TCP/IP, IP routing, cat 5+ cabling, Wi-Fi.
  • Experience working on electronic devices like projectors, cameras, printers, etc.
  • Good Communication and Typing Skills.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • First level help desk support – promptly responding to all user’s requests in a humble and respectful manner providing basic support for all technology equipment
  • Helps users to better their understanding of our technology systems while performing support tasks by providing one-on-one training as needed.
  • Provides appropriate personnel a precise understanding of user’s issues when the problem needs to be escalated
  • Responsible for regular maintenance of technology equipment – projectors, smart boards, laptops
  • Assists the Director of Information Technology Services with projects
  • Keeps detailed logs of support issues utilizing the helpdesk system as defined by the Director of Information Technology Services
  • Organizes and inventories technology equipment as directed
  • Participates in training programs to continuously improve product knowledge and service skills
