Technology Support Specialist / Teacher
The preferred candidate will have experience in independent schools or other academic settings. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Technology Support Specialist / Teacher will be a member of the IT/Computer department team. In addition to teaching, the incumbent will assist with projects, such as integration of Chromebooks, iPads, and other devices.
This is a full-time, twelve-month position. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative and a commitment to excellence. He/she will posses strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to assist teachers and staff who have a range of technical abilities. Candidates for this position should have experience working with Good Apps for Education, Java, HTML, Python, Robotics, and Microsoft Office.
Primary duties include:

Assisting with the administration of the physical infrastructure of the school network, which consists of a fleet of approximately 350 computers, including desktops, laptops, Macs, iPads, Chromebooks, and servers

Teaching Technology classes in grades seven and eight

Providing help desk support for faculty and staff

Administering user accounts, Exchange 2010, VMWare, Veeam, and Filemaker Server

Assisting with the administration of Blackbaud's Education Edge and Raiser's Edge databases

Troubleshooting and resolving network problems

Participating in weekly IT department meetings

Leading and participating in technology training sessions

Providing A/V support
