Technology Support Technician
Job Duties |
In this role, the employee will be responsible for receiving and distributing Opscan forms, scanning forms, tracking usage and distribution, and documentation. The employee will scan forms in a timely manner, keep good written and electronic records, maintain accuracy when using the paper scanner, and provide excellent customer service. The employee will assist clients with password resets, assist with the software distributing process, and handle the paper work for when computers are dropped off and picked up from clients. The employee will provide face to face support in the Walk-In Help Desk and assist clients with troubleshooting wireless, laptop, and clicker issues as well as help client configuring email on their phone. The employee will operate the poster printing service. The employee will also handle other administrative duties as assigned. This position may require non-business hour support including evening and weekends, depending on the needs of the university. |

Minimum Education/Experience |
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position’s role. Computer coursework may be substituted year-for- year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related discipline and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Proficient using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint and have excellent customer service skills. The ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner and be able to prioritize work assignments with minimal supervision is also desired. A good understanding of a variety of operating systems, the ability to troubleshoot computer issues, familiarity with a ticketing system is preferred. |
