Norfolk Collegiate is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time lower school technology resource teaching position for the 2019-20 academic year. This position involves teaching age-appropriate technology lessons to students in grades Pre-K-5, as well as assisting other lower school teachers with technology integration and support. A bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, elementary education or a related field is required; K-5 teaching certification and/or a master’s degree is preferred. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience in a lower school setting, keen insight into elementary-aged children, and comprehensive knowledge of the intellectual, social, emotional and physical developmental needs of lower school students. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. This position requires collaborative work with others; therefore, this individual must be able to work effectively with colleagues and parents.
