Technology Teacher and Integrator (Part-time)
Mark Day School seeks a collaborative, innovative educator for the parttime role of educational technology teacher and integrator as a leave replacement from August 2019 December 2019. Candidates should have a passion for teaching elementary and middle school students, experience designing technologyrich lessons and projects, and knowledge of a wide array of digital tools, including G Suite, Scratch, and Photoshop. The educational technology teacher and integrator reports to the director of educational design and innovation and works as a member of a team that supports and advances the school’s technology, media and innovation programs.
Responsibilities include:

Teach weekly technology skills classes to 5th and 6th graders

Teach a twiceweekly technology elective class to 7th and 8th graders

Supervise a robotics club
- Assist in providing technical support, technology coaching, and technology training to teachers

In spring 2018 the school completed a transformative campus project that includes renovation of the quad and amphitheater at the heart of the campus and the construction of a new Learning Commons, Digital Media Lab, and Creativity Lab. The new learning spaces are designed to support studentcentered inquiry, handson discovery and tinkering, collaboration, and design thinking.
