These four mission components guide the development of curriculum as well as the evolution of the EPS culture. Founded in 2002, Eastside Prep was accredited by NWAIS in January 2010. Eastside Prep has grown from 17 students in 2003-2004 to a projected total of 485 for academic year 2019-2020.

Job Summary: The Technology Teacher & Upper School Makerspace Manager is responsible for teaching three classes per term, maintaining the makerspace (supplies, maintenance and signage) in addition to supporting the Technology Specialist in client support. This position reports to the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer and follows the faculty calendar plus an additional two weeks prior to the start of opening faculty meetings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidate should have demonstrated skills in the following areas

  • Experience working with 5th – 12th grade students

  • Experience working with faculty

  • Desire to continually learn new things

  • T enacious Problem Solver

  • Enjoys a fast-paced work environment

Candidate should have some experience or be excited to learn the following

  • HTML / CSS / Javascript

  • Programming

  • Care and Maintenance of Makerspace tools

  • Windows Client T roubleshooting

Credentials and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in customer relations; strong people skills with both colleagues and students required

  • Experience with Robotics, Arduinos and electronics a plus

  • Experience with CAD and CAM software a plus

  • Strong capacity to pick up new skills and seek out solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree or two years related experience

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
