Technology Teacher/Tech Support

Gig Harbor Academy is a private, independent school serving children in Preschool through 5th Grade. Gig Harbor Academy seeks an experienced technology teacher for the elementary grades. This part-time position includes a direct instructional component for older students and supports classroom themes and goals. Students have access to iPads and Mac computers, as well as some classrooms equipped with Apple TV. Older students currently have experience with Keynote, basic programming, stop animation video and search effectiveness skills. In concert with the school's mission and philosophy, instruction in good citizenship in the digital world is essential. Expectations of this role also include providing technical and instructional support to faculty as needed, as well as some infrastructural support of the school's technology-related equipment. Experience with web site maintenance, search engine optimization, and social media utilization is desirable.
