1. The Technology Training Specialist will be adaptable, resourceful, and solution-oriented when challenged by the various nuances of software applications and end-user needs.

2. Based on knowledge, observation and in collaboration with subject matter experts, develop programs and content and deliver training curriculum related to YM Administrative processes/workflows. Develop training scenarios as necessary for classes and testing purposes. Maintain the integrity of the training database data.

3. In collaboration with the Epic core learning program, provide classroom and occasional onsite training to end users on all Epic Practice Management applications and other applications or topics as needed.

4. Develop, implement and maintain user group focus sessions, workshops, or ongoing meetings to reinforce Best Practice workflows.

5. Analyze user needs and create proposals for new training programs or systems.

6. Organize and coordinate classroom schedules with facility, technical resources and third-party vendors. Establish and maintain web content for enrollment and monitoring class sizes, instructors, and informational material provided in advance of class, e.g. parking, and manage communications with users.

7. Utilize the most efficient means of electronic communication to produce and distribute regular training reminders for all YM and affiliate staff, e.g., Tips and Tricks, email blasts and/or newsletter.

8. Collect feedback on training quality and delivery through evaluations and surveys, etc. Assimilate results, develop and report on key performance indicators (KPI). Develop and implement corrective measures to address identified deficiencies.

9. Assist in planning, testing, and implementation of new functionality. This may include customizations of software to meet YM needs, producing documentation and training all end users on the final product.

10. Keep current in emerging training technologies, advancements and strategies through involvement in professional organizations, seminar attendance, user group meetings and research. 

Preferred Education:   

  • Master's degree in adult education, instructional design, organizational development, HR, or related field.
  • Experience using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Video Editing software, etc.
  • Experience working in hospital and healthcare environments.
  • Experience providing training on business software applications and EMRs.
  • Experience using EPIC or other EMR is highly desired. 

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:   

  • Master's degree in adult education, instructional design, organizational development, HR, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating technology training development, operations training, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
