Upper School Computer Teacher

Full-time position for the 2017-2018 school year:  M, T, Th, F from 7:30am-3:30pm and Wednesdays from 7:30am-4pm
Instructional Day: 8:00am-3:00pm

Palmetto Christian Academy is seeking an engaging and positive Upper School Computer teacher with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology Education, or equivalent degree. The preferred candidate will have experience teaching technology to middle school students and/or high school students and have either a state and/or ACSI teaching certificate or be willing to complete the requirements for certification. Candidate must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office, web design, and programming language. Candidate must be able to multi-task, plan, and teach engaging and challenging age-appropriate lessons. Candidate will also be required to be the Yearbook sponsor. Candidate for this position must demonstrate a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a passion for their subject, patience with students, and an understanding of the principles and methodologies of effective teaching and classroom management.
