Academic Technology Specialist / IT Director
Montrose School is seeking a proficient, energetic and adaptable Academic Technology Specialist/IT Director to begin the 2018-2019 school year. The Academic Technology Specialist/IT Director will be responsible for all computer issues, both hardware and software, at Montrose School necessary to provide safe, reliable and efficient environment to support teaching and learning, and administrative needs of the school. Primary responsibilities include:

Implement and support academic applications including but not limited to WeVideo, Noodletools, Turnitin, Adobe, Office, Chrome, Audacity, AP Language testing

Work with teachers and administrators to determine best practices

Provide professional development for applications to support teaching and learning

Support teachers and students in daily use of laptops, chromebooks, classroom audio/visual equipment

And any other technology that supports the curriculum

Work with outside vendors related to technology needs

Manage video and DSLR camera devices and accessories and edit video, supporting Events
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree; experience with school-based technology a plus. Ability to resolve issues as needed in a timely fashion, and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students a must. This is a three-quarter or full-time job depending on candidates experience.
